Have Monterey's coastline be the backdrop for your wedding!

Below are a few suggestions of our most popular wedding sites. We can share with you beautiful ceremony locations which do not require permits for smaller gatherings. For groups over 30 we recommend you choose a site where there is ample parking & easy access for all of your guests including state beaches and city parks overlooking the Monterey Bay & the Pacific Ocean. A Bayside Wedding is here to help you.

Pacific Grove Coastline

"Wedding Cove"

We do many weddings at this location which is a part of the Marine Wildlife Refuge in Pacific Grove. There are no permits required. It is just north of Asilomar State Beach. You won't find it on any maps or see it from the road.

Small groups only please, parking is limited.

Lover's Point Park

Located on the coast, at 17th Street & Ocean View Blvd. Magnificent view, wheel chair accessible, and on the Monterey Bay near many great restaurants & reception sites! Up to 100 guests allowed. (Permit required*) Elopements and very small weddings can be held on the beach at Lover's Point without a permit.

Berwick Park

Located on Ocean View Blvd. & 11th Street. A Monterey bayside park with beautiful lawns and vistas. Just steps from the ocean. Permitted area is on the lawn, up to 100 guests (Permit Required*). There are also cliffside areas for elopements.

*Pacific Grove will reserve 2 hours for your wedding at either park. There is a $350 permit fee for the reservation of these Parks, payable to the City. We can help you get on calendar! Call us today for more information (831) 372-8997

Asilomar Beach

A beautiftul coastline that runs from Pacific Grove to Pebble Beach. To use the state beach requires a permit through the concessionaire at Asliomar Conference Center. They can be reached at (831) 642-4222, or simply let us assist you.

*The southern half of the main beach here is Pebble Beach and can be used for weddings without a permit.

Pebble Beach Coastline

17 Mile Drive

Any beach in Pebble Beach is free for ceremonies and elopements; no permit necessary, once you pay the entrance fee, per car.

Point 11 on 17 Mile Drive - Seal Rock

One of the most popular spots along 17 Mile Drive. Seal Rock has a nice picnic area along side of the beach.

Carmel Coastline

Carmel City Beach

Carmel's famous white sand beach located at end of Ocean Avenue in downtown Carmel. (weddings up to 50 guests only) No permits or reservations required.

Scenic & 13th

Still part of Carmel Beach, a terrace like area overlooking the beach, good for couples with just a few guests. Also down on the beach, sometimes called the Hidden Beach, is also available for up to 50 guests.

Carmel River State Beach

It Is what they call 3 different beach areas (8-9-10). The actual Carmel River State Beach is at the end of Scenic Drive, where the carmel river enters the Pacific Ocean. It has a parking lot and a bathroom on site. (Closes at sunset) It includes gorgeous vistas and is very accessible.

Ribera Road Overlook (Wedding Rock) or Carmel Middle Beach

Another maintained State Park area. Hwy 1 south past Rio Road, turn right on Ribera Road to cliff trail at end of road, then follow the path to Wedding Rock (easy access) or down long steps for Middle Beach. Both sites offer gorgeous views of Point Lobos State Park and the Pacific Ocean.

Monastary Beach

Gorgeous beach south of Carmel, Hwy 1 at San Jose Creek across from the Carmelite Monastary. With bathrooms, easy parking, with pretty easy access. (Not for swimming due to the powerful undertow)
